At your neighborhood Shorewood Kumon math & reading Center, I believe that every student has the potential to perform far beyond their parents', teachers' - and most importantly, their own - expectations. We see it as our mission to enable our students to believe in their ability to set their goals and achieve those goals. Setting and successfully achieving a smaller goal, gives the student the confidence to reach for the next, higher goal. This builds the commitment that is needed for high achievement everywhere, in academics, sports, orchestra or dance.

Our students begin to see - from the day they begin Kumon - that they are capable of achieving more than they ever thought possible.  They begin to believe that asking questions is not dumb.

The elementary age children realize that making mistakes is necessary for learning. 

Next, these young learners learn to fix those mistakes, learn from their own mistakes and move ahead with mastery over topics that once seemed, impossible.

The Junior High and the High School students see for themselves that being an A student at school, takes careful practice with disciplined study habits, and they build those habits, with Kumon.

Every academic decision that I make for every student on my watch, seeks to answer one question: if this was my child under the given circumstances, will I still make the same decision for him/her? You, the parent, may not always agree with me but I will always listen to you, especially when we disagree.
